Strawberry Shortcake vs Strawberry Shortcake

When my daughter was 6 she had a Strawberry Shortcake birthday party.  Her 6 year old daughter wants to be Strawberry Shortcake for Halloween.  When I sent the picture I thought she was talking about, my daughter sent back a "lol...no one under 30 would know who she was" She sent me the picture of the "NEW" Strawberry Shortcake.  So gma got out the sketch pad and hit the fabric store.  NO one carries pink with red dot fabric so I bought the pink and some fabric paint.  To make the hat I used a child's bill cap as the base to build it on.  We ordered the socks and except some lace on the sleeves and hem length we are ready to mail it to Texas.

Have a blessed week and Happy Pink Saturday.

What a sweet Halloween costume. My daughter loved Strawberry Shortcake. I am going to look around for her doll which was all hand crocheted. That little doll was amazing. What a great post! Anne

My daughter's 4th bday party we did a Strawberry Shortcake theme! It was a blast, even 26 yrs. ago. I sure didn't know there was a "new" girl in town, tho. She has been a bit updated but is still adorable. Your granddaughter will be thrilled with her costume!

Happy PS!

What a fun costume! Strawberry Shortcake (older version) was my fav toy as a kid. I still have mine. She doesn't smell and is missing some clothes but she's still my gal!

YOU ARE A FANTASTIC GRANDMA-----what a fabulous job. All you need girl is a piece of paper to sketch--I remember how you used napkins before - whatever is available. My sweet little great niece should LOVE it.

That turned out wonderful.

LOL. I have always known that clothing styles come back but toys has been interesting. I'm waiting for the cabbage patch kids as there are nine in my garage. The daughters have all left them here in a trunk that I've been told I can't touch. If cabbies come back, they might remove them.

Anyway, it's so much fun making costumes for the grands. Congratulations on yours being perfect.
