Sister Act

What a wonderful last 4 days.
My youngest sister flew in and we spent the days lazing on the lake, and making runs into town for her Sonic fixes.
We had so much fun laughing and playing together.
I have 3 wonderful sisters and cherish every time
I get to INVEST (not spend) time together.

Lunch on Saturday  and our matching shirts

Here, in some snapshots, is our time together.

Wonderful to worship with family!

We ate lunch at a small airport in Greencastle

I know my week was blessed, I pray yours is too.
BLESSINGS,
Debbie

Lake Fun

There's nothing better than Family and Friends
 Watermellon and Floating
What fun we had over the past few weeks
The weather has been wonderful for the lake livin
Those 100 degree days are horrid but sure make sitting in the lake like sitting in a warm bath.

Toe Nail Fix

Summer Time is for going
Barefoot in the grass

For flip flops on the beach

OH NO!
Last night my toe nail, that was damaged months, ago fell off.
Being summer, the only time it matters, I thought hard about what to do.  Take off all the polish so the lack of nail wouldn't show as bad? I mean who doesn't wear sandals most of the summer? It's the only time of year I bother to polish my nails.

So my creativity set in.

My fix?  Cut medical tape the size and shape of the nail bed.
I found a double layer works best.
Place over the skin and then polish the tape!
Sorry my toes are not the prettiest in town, good ole Auther has come to stay...
Can you tell which toe nail isn't real?

Have a wonderful flip flop week!

What's better for a teen girl than her own paradise? With great PINK flamingo's  linking with
Beverly for Pink Saturday

I had a budget to add extra's in the room.
The woven wood shades  and nick-nacks on the dressers were fun to shop for.
I didn't get a picture of the grass table skirt I added to the bottom of the bed as a bed skirt. After tacking it to a fitted sheet over the mattress I then cut it to floor length. They just put another sheet over it to sleep on.

This was painted out the outside of her door
I also decorated her chalk board and bulletin board.

Hope you enjoyed my pink, Blessings, Debbie

White Vintage Chair with painted flowers and vines

Twice owned Tuesday,White Wednesday, Show off Your Stuff and Vintage Thingy Thursday
I painted this vintage chair for a neighbor.

The flowers were painted free hand and to match the wreath that she hangs on her porch for the spring and summer.

Love this large porch it makes the chair look small in this picture lol.

Class Room at Church: Outdoor scene with deer

This room was painted for the special education students in mind.  Not too busy and prayerfully calming.

If you look close you see all the right things to link with Outdoor Wednesday, Redensday (wood pecker and butterflies) and Watery Wednesday, the calm little lake.

This is the view of the whole wall.  It is 16 foot across.

I've shown this fawn before but never with all the background work.

My mother loves woodpeckers so this was added to honor her.   Love his bright read head.

Don't these little guys just look like they are ready for some fun?
I am linking these to Outdoor Wednesdays. Watery Wednesday and Redensday.
