It's amazing and sad at how many young women are being diagnosed with Breast Cancer.  PLEASE take care of yourself and have your mammogram before it is too late.

There is quite a story about each of these that have a special place in my heart and home.
My Dutch cookie jar was something that I had searched for, for years.  They werre always too expensive. When We were on our 25th Anniversary trip out west we stopped in a few antique malls.  In one I found this sweet dutch boy.  He was painted pink and gray.  When checking for cracks I noticed the paint was pealing.  Lucky me, whoever had painted him had used water based craft paint.  He was only $25. !!! I snatch him up and when we got home I washed off the paint.  Yes some of his original painted details were gone but I love him just as he is.

For many years I had a tea room off my kitchen.  It had wonderful windows all around and french doors at the entrance to the porch.  Above the windows I had a shelf that went completely around the room.  There I was able to display my tea pot collection.  Our new home is much smaller so I narrowed down the collection to less than 20.  About half of them are Christmas tea pots that I bring out after Thanksgiving and store all the others.  The pink flowered one was one my mother in-law gave me.  It was one of their wedding gifts.  That was in 1943.  It has a built in music box on the bottom that plays tea for two.

This dogwood tea pot was bought at a shop in England.  My husband was there on a business trip.  It isn't very vintage but dated 1968 which was the year we met.  He is so thoughtfull!

I like to think of my style as Italian Romantic.  Below is the iron buffet I display my lovely finds.  I didn't highlight all of them but each one has a story of it's own.

Thanks for visiting and May you be blessed this week. Debbie

Love the dutchboy cookie jar. I guess I missed it when I was there. Your teapots look great how you have them displayed. Great shot of your dining area.

Al your vintage things are very appropriate for today. However, I love dogwood so the tea pot with them on it it my favorite.
