Marriage, Blessed from on High.
Not every moment has been perfect. We have lived with and without.
Our children were not perfect as we thought they would be, being raised in a good Christ centered home.
Our health is not perfect. Some short term, some longterm problems.
But I KNOW beyond a shadow of a doubt
I am blessed.
Yesterday I posted this for pink Saturday. Because I KNOW my marriage is only good because of the goodness of our God I decided to also post it with Spiritual Sunday. http://bloggerspirit.blogspot.com/

Pink Roses and Orchid for a perfect Saturday
Today we celebrate 39 years of a blessed marriage.
The ceremony was beautiful.
The flowers and dresses simple compared to today
The reception was in the basement of the church
with cake and punch.
Maybe couples need to return to the simplicity
and concentrate on the commitment.
Blessings to all you wonderful Pink Sat. Bloggers.

Let me be the first to say that it truly was a beautiful wedding. Where did all those years fly? We were just babies. God has surely blessed you two--HIS plan is always good!!!!

Happy Anniversary! What an inspirational couple. Here's to many more years of love and happiness together.
Best wishes,
Natasha.
Happy Anniversary! What a beautiful picture. And I agree, too many couples get caught up in the "wedding" and don't put enough emphasis on the "marriage"! Congratulations, have a wonderful weekend, Nan
Happy Anniversary. We just celebrated our 44th and ours cost us a total of $39.00 because most everything, cake etc was a gift. We had to tip the organist and leave a check for the church. Happy Pink Saturday.
your flowers were beautiful!! Happy Anniversary!!!!
Debbie...I love the picture of your hands on your wedding day. My hubby and I just celebrated 32 years on the 8th and we also had a pretty but simple wedding with cake and punch.
My girl married 3 years ago and we pulled out the stops for her big day. That said...if we had not done almost all prep work ourselves (wedding gown, favors, centerpieces, etc.) it wouldn't have been possible to do what was done on our limited budget.
Still...even though our only girl's wedding was gorgeous (and I'd do it again for her because she was always so lovely) I think weddings today as a whole are overdone. Somehow the saying of one's vows has turned into a humongous production! People forget about the MARRIAGE because they are too busy planning a PARTY out of the cere-MONEY! :)
Anyway (off my soapbox now!)...
Congrats to you on so many years of wedded bliss. Happy Anniversary to you and the Mr.!
Thanks for visiting me today and Happy Pink Saturday, too!

happy anniversary!
What a beautiful picture. Happy Anniversary. We celebrated our 52nd in July. It's amazing how fast those years flew by. I hope you have many many more.
Blessings,
Charlotte
A very happy anniversary to you and your dear hubby!!! Y'all have 11 more years to plan that GREAT BIG party!!!
A lasting marriage is a wonderful legacy for your children. Both sets of my grandparents celebrated at least 50 years before one of them passed away. My parents celebrated 51 this year, and hubby's parents celebrated 57 this year. And hubby and I will celebrate our silver next February.
I agree with you about the cost of weddings nowadays. I occasionally watch "Say Yes to the Dress," and I am totally appalled at the price of wedding gowns nowadays and the price couples will pay for the wedding. And, sadly, I always wonder after spending $12,000 for a wedding, how many of them will even still be together five years from now.
Sorry for the rambling comment. Rejoicing with you on the gift of a committed marriage.
By the way, is that photo from your wedding? It's lovely!!! Beautiful rings, beautiful flowers.
Blessings,
Patti
Happy Anniversary, my dear friend!

Happy Anniversary! We recently celebrated 30 and our wedding was VERY simple and I'd do it that way again in a heartbeat.
Happy Anniversary! Where do the years go??? Seems like only yesterday doesn't it? ...and for us, it will be 30 years next year!
Blessings! Karen
