Awww.... Rest and Relaxation
That is what I am thankful for this week!
So few people understand the benefits of resting.
Matthew 11:28-30
"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.
"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.
I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly." (Message Version)
Religion is not what God intended, it was a Relationship with Him!
When we come to Him we are Restored
Hebrews 4
God himself is at rest. And at the end of the journey we'll surely rest with God. So let's keep at it and eventually arrive at the place of rest,
Pray you can Rest in the knowledge that there is a God who is standing and waiting for you to turn around, Run into His arms and Rest in Him.

When I rest I am quiet, when I am quiet I can see and hear all that He created.

Oh, the joy of rest! "Learn the unforced rhythms of grace." This line of scripture is just beautiful. What translation did you get the quote from?
Great thoughts about rest and relaxation. I agree with you!
Great week.

Absolutely right, not religion but relationship.
Terrific post.
Thanks.
That's why it shows up in the 10 Commandments.

I love to rest and relax. It is where I write my most heartfelt poetry. I like the way you display their beautiful meanings. Thanks for sharing.
What a great R & R post. I love the way you tied in all the scripture. Great job.

Oh I need some relaxation right now.
R is for RED, come and see.

I agree, taking the time to rest and relax helps us enjoy everything God has given us. Just a few minutes of relaxation a day does wonders for me daily. Thanks for the great advice. I am now a new follower.
Hugs,
Jann
A little R&R is what we all need...more often than we take it. Thanks so much for visiting and for your comment about my typewriter. I learned on an old manual too. They just don't build them like that anymore:-)
Love your painting and oh God's Word is so true...sometimes it is just so hard to remember.....
I rest a lot, when I come home, after all my computer work, I lie down on my couch and havd a rest.
But the rest Jesus gives.
Nice words. I felt calm just reading them.
Thank you for your visit and nice comments. :)
