1vin·tage

 noun \ˈvin-tij\
a : a period of origin or manufacture

“Generally speaking, clothing which was produced before the 1920s is referred to as antique clothing. Clothing from the 1920s to 1975 is considered vintage, and clothing manufactured from 1975 until twenty years ago is referred to as retro clothing.”

Going through some old photos I found this on of me when I was 16.
I guess according to what I found on line I must be vintage, not just aging  lol.

Love this picture though.  I says all there is to say about vintage.

I had made the dress. a woven polyester. Puffy sleeves and long cuffs. The shoes, don't you love the clunky heals and buckles:  and check out the green chair and moms ceramic  diamonds for the seasons.  My hair was quite long and I wore it up a lot.  OH what I wouldn't do to still have that figure!
And enjoy visiting all the other great vintage posts with Suzanne at Coloradolady
Hope you enjoyed going back in time a bit. Blessings, Debbie

That is a cute shot of you in your teens. I cannot remember that far back. Guess I better go look at my old photos.

Nice dress! What was the occasion? I remember my mother making me some shorter dresses out of that woven polyester. I can still "feel" them in my mind! Pretty shoes. I think I wore mine with platform heels, which I sadly grew out of way too soon!

You were certainly dressed up. Wonder where you were going. Thanks for the "vintage" picture. Just doesn't seem possible.

Hi Deborah, I love your photo and the shoes are just like something I wore in the 60's. I also made a dress out of polyester fabric. You sure brought back a fun memory. Love this.
I also love the blue truck you and Ann sent LV. She is the sweetest blogger.
Hugs, Jeanne

Those shoes look very familiar. I probably had a similar pair. And the chair you're sitting on - my brother used to have two of those in his living room.
