Croatia 2014

It has been months since I posted my last post.  During that time, we sold our lake home and built a home in a retirement community.  Selling the lake home was a difficult decision but we found that we would need to choose to travel or be on the lake.  We both LOVE to travel and we decided we can always make time for a week at a lake with family somewhere between their homes and ours.

Our travels have been amazing so far.

After a cruise on the Mediterranean we stayed in Europe and rented a car.  We drove from Italy to Croatia  and Slovenia.
Excited when we saw this bright blue sign!

Here are a few pictures of our fist day's drive and hotel in Rovinj.

Who would not love having this beautiful vintage cart in your yard?

I Love vintage cobblestone  streets, except when pulling luggage!

Wouldn't you love to have this as your door to your quiet space?

Hum, is supposed to be the smallest town in the world.  Hum...it must be, we drove , and drove and never found it.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hum,_Croatia#mediaviewer/File:Hum_–_najmanji_grad_na_svijetu.jpg
This photo just looks mystical to me.

The typical historical architecture of Rovinj, dating back to the old Rovinj houses of the 1500’s, is an example of medieval architecture of the Mediterranean.
Loved this room It would be perfect in any vintage home.

Blessings, Debbie

Hi Debbie,

I've missed you! Boy, you've been busy. Thanks for playing today.

You linked in perfectly; sometimes, all you need is
patience. (I eliminated the extra link.)

Happy Blue Monday!

What a lovely tour ! I have been once in Croatia, but many years ago, when it still was Yugoslavia.

Fascinating collection of travel photos. I know cobblestones can be difficult for walking, but still love the character in them.
