Welcome to Oregon.
The town where our son and his family live is about 15 miles north of the California boarder.
One more pass to go through and we would be at our first real destination.
The sky was dark and we didn't know if we would need to stop and put on the chains again, but the closer we got to our sons the sky cleared to a beautiful blue and about 45*
What joy to be reunited with our son, his spouse and our grands again.
They moved to this area 6 months ago. Way too long for this grandma's heart.
Our granddaughter ran to meet us in the parking lot. OH what joy!
Do you love Christmas? I know, it's February but sharing a state a week we just now made it this far in our great adventure. If you haven't been following and want to catch up just visit some of my older posts.
The family live in a nice 2 bedroom place but really too small for a tree, besides, the youngest is just pulling up on everything so it wouldn't have been safe. SO Grand and I and son drew a tree on the large mirror in the dinning room with whiteboard markers! We had fun and it was the perfect tree. FREE I love the smile on our grand.
Thought I would just add a few of the expressions
we caught on camera.
We celebrated my hubby's 62nd birthday at our sons. He played happy birthday on the guitar while we sang. DIL had made a wonderful chocolate cake.
We also visited Jacksonville about 17 miles away had a great day and wonderful lunch.
It was difficult to leave but was time to head back out. Driving away, with tears in my eyes I was still excited to continue our great adventure with the most important man on earth.
Blessings, Come back again!
Next week I will be sharing heading down Highway 1 on the coast.

Such GREAT photos--both girls are too. The town looks so quaint--I'm sure there was lots of great little shops. Glad B got to spend his birthday with them.

How wonderful you are getting to travel all around besides enjoying your family. That is the best. Be careful.

Thanks for dropping by.
To answer your question : after we voted, we dipped one finger into an ink bottle -it's functioned as a sign that one has voted. Until now, my nail is still blue :)
