Bathroom Redo

This week I want to share my utility/bath makeover for
Blue Monday and  Metamorphosis Monday.
Make sure you click on their buttons on my side bar to visit!

When we moved in 8 years ago we redid the whole house with a tuscan theme.  I've gottten tired of the colors, so thought I would start with the utility/bath room. We live on the lake and I want a more casual theme. I want to paint all the woodwork white, it's cheep stuff not good wood.  The utility room was my practice room to see if it was something my hubby would want in the whole house.  He still isn't convinced but closer... Here is my new Blue room.

The framed picture is one I just enlarged on our computer from a photo we took in Florida a few years back.
I have several old windows and used one for the frame.
I used the cabinet we took down when we stacked the washer and dryer under the top one for more storage. I just flipped it so the handles were at the top.
I bought 3 floor tiles for the top.  They fit perfect.
Having the dog dishes in there isn't pretty but with a 145 lb dog you don't want her mess in the rest of the house!

I love how much brighter it feels.
Just for fun thought I would share this.
Hubby and I were playing scrabble on the computor
and this came up on his turn.
 Honesty we didn't change them!
I guess it takes knowing the alphabet to have an IQ!

Pray you have a wonderful week and thanks for coming by!
Debbie

I'm tired of Tuscan colors too! Maybe it's an Indiana thing? We live in a 1921 bungalow that has very dark and very nice woodwork. Sometimes I think I'd like to paint it and the rooms light and airy colors. That has been done in three of the bedrooms. The rest will probably be left as is. I love the color you've used in the bathroom!

Best,
Bonnie

The bright blue walls look very pretty and much more cheerful! Most of my house walls are linen white but I painted the bedrooms with color and love them. Besroom are also a good place to try different shades of color, or even more than one color.

The blue is a great shade!!! I wouldn't take the whole house in it but I really like it in the laundry.

I like what you have done so far. But, I have always liked white walls and ceilings. Add color with the accessories or decorations.
