Two very tired ladies arriving in London Airport
After arriving we were met with a two hour line in customs! From what our driver said this is very unsual.
Hubby had a private car pick us up so we didn't have to manage our luggage and the trains on our first day. |

Blimmy, I'm in England!
(our favorite word our cabbie used)
My sweet Hubby had to go on a business trip to Basingstoke, England. This is about an hour outside London. He flew out on Saturday and my oldest granddaughter and I followed on the following Wednesday.
This gave us a day to catch up on the time difference before we headed out on our adventure on Saturday morning.
For the next few weeks I will be sharing pictures and memories of our trip.
L and I went to the mall on Friday morning. She bought a really cute pair of boots that were maked down to 5 lb wich was about $7.50! They were originally over $60.
Just wish they had my size! We took the cab back to the hotel about 3:30 in the afternoon. When we walked up to the cabs this pink cab was the second in line.
Just as we arrived the front cab drove off!
I acted like a school girl.
What a perfect PINK Saturday post!
Turned out it is the ONLY pink cab in England.
He hires out to do Weddings and Hen Parties which are like our bachelorette parties.
Friday evening we took a taxi to a small pub called the Swan.
Hubby had the taxi take us pass a beautiful hotel he had stayed in on a different trip.
The cabbie let us take time to take some pictures.

We had wonderful fish and chips.
I do believe everywhere we visited I said the same thing...I could spend a week or two just visiting here.
Hope you enjoyed our first day in England. Hope to see you again next week!
