Football, Basketball, Track who knew!

We just spent a wonderful week with our daughter and her busy family in Texas

I am amazed at how call she is with getting 4  kids to all the places they need to be.

Spending time in the car just picking them up from school was such a great time to visit.  Their schools are all on one campus and get out a different times to make pick up easier.  It still takes her at least an hour of sitting time though.
The school colors are perfect to share for
BLUE MONDAY and OUTDOOR WEDNESDAY

Fun in blue their school mascot
B is Number 17 a backup quarterback for the varsity team at 15!
He plays quarterback on the JV team but they got rained out. IT hadn't rained in months... :-(

A serious moment of prayer before his game.  Our youngest grandson.
A Patiently waiting her turn on the court.  Love the crossed legs on the b ball
Great to have her on your team!
This is at her brothers football game.

in action #1
Panda Hat...if you look close you can see it's ears.
Made this while I visited for M

M took 9th place out of 90at her track meet.  She usually runs long distance at around 6 min. mile but this meet was a 1 mile run.

Grandson and his girlfriend
Hope you all have a wonderful week!
I am flying to Kansas to make my nephews wedding cake.

hats hats hats

A few years ago I hosted a Hat's off to mom party for our mothers and daughters.

For one of the games I painted these pictures of ladies in hats from across the years.

Then I had a sheet with all the years printed for them to try to decide which hat went with which year.

Hope you have a great week!
Blessings, Debbie

Bathroom Redo

This week I want to share my utility/bath makeover for
Blue Monday and  Metamorphosis Monday.
Make sure you click on their buttons on my side bar to visit!

When we moved in 8 years ago we redid the whole house with a tuscan theme.  I've gottten tired of the colors, so thought I would start with the utility/bath room. We live on the lake and I want a more casual theme. I want to paint all the woodwork white, it's cheep stuff not good wood.  The utility room was my practice room to see if it was something my hubby would want in the whole house.  He still isn't convinced but closer... Here is my new Blue room.

The framed picture is one I just enlarged on our computer from a photo we took in Florida a few years back.
I have several old windows and used one for the frame.
I used the cabinet we took down when we stacked the washer and dryer under the top one for more storage. I just flipped it so the handles were at the top.
I bought 3 floor tiles for the top.  They fit perfect.
Having the dog dishes in there isn't pretty but with a 145 lb dog you don't want her mess in the rest of the house!

before

I love how much brighter it feels.
Just for fun thought I would share this.
Hubby and I were playing scrabble on the computor
and this came up on his turn.
 Honesty we didn't change them!
I guess it takes knowing the alphabet to have an IQ!

Pray you have a wonderful week and thanks for coming by!

Sister Act

What a wonderful last 4 days.
My youngest sister flew in and we spent the days lazing on the lake, and making runs into town for her Sonic fixes.
We had so much fun laughing and playing together.
I have 3 wonderful sisters and cherish every time
I get to INVEST (not spend) time together.

Lunch on Saturday  and our matching shirts

Here, in some snapshots, is our time together.

Wonderful to worship with family!

We ate lunch at a small airport in Greencastle

I know my week was blessed, I pray yours is too.
BLESSINGS,
Debbie

Blue Monday, bird mailbox.

First I want to say thanks to Sally's granddaughters for letting us know that Sally who hosts Blue Monday is in ICU.  Continue to keep her in your prayers for a full recovery.

Today I want to share my mail box at one of our former homes.  I miss the cuteness of it... we just have a plain black one now so I new to get busy and paint a new one!

The cream and blue matched our house.
After painting it I used and outdoor clear varnish to keep it from fading.

Blessings, Debbie

When I saw this challenge on my sisters blog tin and sparkle I knew just what I wanted to do.  We live on a lake and I made this Door tag for our front door.  When we are in the back on the dock or playing in the lake visitors don't have to wonder if we are home! I love how it turned out.  The legs are from a photo I took last year of our granddaughter playing with the water when we were on the pontoon. I might actually hang it from a door hanger so it is more visible than on the door knob.

Blue Monday

What a beautiful day it is!  The temp is in the 70's and the sun is shining!

One of my husbands co works, at their office in France, needed some software. My hubby was able to get it  for him at a better price than he can there.  He sent a thank you gift this week.  The picture was hard to take because of the glare on the glass. This is an original piece of work.  It measures about 5x5. The title is Les cailloux which translates Stones.
THIS IS AN ORIGINAL PIECE  PLEASE DO NOT COPY

It was so thoughtful and we love the colors. Such a beautiful piece of art.
Have a great week.

Today is my oldest granddaughters 15th birthday.
We took her and her dad and his girlfriend out to lunch Sunday.
She chose a turkish restaurant so we sat on the floor.
The food was good and the colors were perfect for todays post. She's in blue and I'm in yellow!

You might remember last fall we were having a new dock built and I mentioned the "by Faith" slips for wave runners.  Well everything worked out financially and we found some awesome used SeaDoos for sale.  They are three seaters and are going to be so much fun!

God is so good.  I feel almost guilty showing such toys when others are suffering.  But I am reminded that when we have been faithful it is okay to enjoy the blessings we are given. We are looking forward to many great hours with family and friends going around the lake.
I'm linking up with Blue Monday and  Mellow Yellow Monday.

Blue Monday
Today I want to share two of the classrooms I painted at a church.  The total job took myself and 2 other painters 15 WEEKS to paint the new wing at the church.  I was awesome but so tiring.  The rooms have now been used for 5 years and people are still talking about the paintings.

Each room in this new addition has a completely different theme.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you can come by again soon.
Blessings, Debbie

Jet skiing at Labadee, Haiti                while on our cruise.
Labadee is a private beach that Royal Caribbean leases on the Isle of Hati.  They use several of the local's to work everything but the food.  That they bring from the ship.  We had from 9 am to 4 pm on the island to play and enjoy the beach.

One of my favorite things to do in the evenings while on ship is to walk around and have the photographers take our picture.  They take as many as you want with no sitting fee and then have them available for purchase.  These were two of the four 8x10's we purchased.

One of the dressy nights in front of this wonderful vintage car, Yes he actually told me to touch it!

This more casual picture taken on a white cloth with a white backdrop is one of my favorite.
My hubbies big baby blues are so dreamy in this one.

Have a blessed week!  And Happy Valentines Day!
Debbie
