Blue Monday Colts Biggest Cutest Fan

to visit Sally and other blue monday posts just click here and Pixel bug weekend.

Last night was halloween.  Some of our first little trickers wanted to know if Jasmine was dressed up.
All the neighborhood kids love her.

The local pet store that we shop at is having a BIGGEST FAN contest with pictures of local dogs.  I had already planned on doing this so it was the perfect excuse to take the picture. So without much hesitation I found a Colts jersey and some other things I had.
So here's our "little" BIGGEST fan.
Sweet Jasmine

Oh yeah, Throw that ball Patton!
(actually she was looking for Dad to bail her out of this photo shoot...)

Happy Blue Monday and Pray you have a Blessed Week. Debbie

Bloggerrette Society Fall Box Swap
I am also linking to Pink Saturday since she is letting us do fall this week, and I have some pink to share.  Below is my granddaughter and grandson ready to head off to school Friday morning.  They got to wear their costumes.  I made my Granddaughters.  She loved it. Our grandson is a vampire. Very scary!

And now for my Bloggerette swap   I am so excited to share this wonderful gift I received from my swap partner Deena (Parsley)@ Seasons of my mind.

When I got home from working a weekend retreat, my box was waiting.
I couldn't , hmm and didn't, wait to open it!

Here are pictures of what my swap partner sent me.

A beautiful silver cross book mark.
Lots of scrap book supplies. Paper, ribbon, stickers and
Some fun Mickey shaped candies for baking.
She cross-stitched this beautiful little sign that is sitting next to my tv.

She knew I loved my dog and bought this frame when she was on vacation!
How nice to be thought of!
The picture is of my oldest granddaughter and our dog Jasmine.

She also sent a bone shaped cookie cutter and a recipe for doggie cookies.

Her decorated box is beautiful sitting on my fireplace hearth.

Even the inside is beautiful!

This wonderful see's candy pumpkin didn't last the day!
Therefore the only large picture is cropped from the group picture...

Thank you Deena (Parsley) for caring so much and making this fall box swap such a
wonderful experience!
Blessings to you and your family.

Blue Monday Colts Country
We live close to Indianapolis and are football fans.  What a better BLUE post than our Go Blue team?
A couple of weeks ago another couple and my honey and I went to the covered bridge festival.  My friends main want was a  purse that shows her colts pride.  Couldn't be found so when I got home I started working.  I took an old pair of jeans and cut them off. The trickiest part is taking out the seam under the zipper so it will lay flat.I made the lining with some colts fabric and made sure there were some pockets in each side.

Hope you enjoyed this little brag session and our Colts Blue.
Make sure you go over to visit Sally and all the other Blue posts.
Have a blessed week. Debbie

Scary Halloween Cats still have to wear pink!
All girl cats in Texas wear big bows.

This adorable cat was drawn by our kindergarten granddaughter.
I had to share it first isn't is wonderful!

Below is  a vanity that I have painted for a young girl we have "adopted" as a granddaughter.  Her real grandparents live in Thailand  and Switzerland.  She will be turning 5 next month.  I found this little vanity at the good will.  It was in pretty bad shape to include a 1/2 deep hole in the surface of the top.  I bought it for $6.  After a lot of sanding hole filling and sanding again I started the process of painting.  I think she will really enjoy having it in her room.  I hope to find some type of chair or stool that I can paint to match.

I also took this picture of our dog last week.  I walked into the living room and she was holding her blanket.  I can't believe she stayed that way until I got the camera.

Have a great PINK SATURDAY and of course thanks again Beverly for hosting this fun blog party.

Family heirloom oil lamp
My mother in law gave us this oil lamp a few years back.
I love the painting on it and the etching on the globe.
I keep it in our bedroom on a high dresser to try to keep it safe.

This is a picture of her when my husband was around 4.  I have always loved her smile.

Have a blessed Vintage Thing Thursday and make sure you visit others,
leave them a note I know it will bless them, it always does me.

Danville Scarecrow Festival on the square

for Rednesday and Outdoor Wednesday #93.
Wanted to share a few more of the scarecrows from the Danville square.
Hope you enjoy them.
Go Red!
Golf anyone?

Hang on!

Gallery on the square...picture anyone?

Hope they don't open that casket!  Very GREEN friendly.

I also wanted to add the picture of a booth a friend and I did at church.  twice a year we advertise the different areas in the church you can get involved in for service.  Patty runs the Church cafe.  I made the "windows" using lightweight picture frames, fabric and some foam board.  There are about 12 service areas you can get involved in.  Anything from the "Gatekeepers"  better known as cleaning to working with kids, the food pantry, ushering and visitation. I LOVE my church for giving the people who worship here opportunities to serve.

Have a great week and make sure you visit others ! Debbie

A sad saga of love gone too soon.

http://joyellebrandt.blogspot.com

I have decided to join another blog challenge! I happened on  Music Monday when surfing some other art blogs.  I love the idea of a challenge.  This is my entry for this weeks challenge.

The words to the song are
"But I miss you most of all, my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall"

My collage is of a tomb stone that I photographed last summer.  It was my great, great grandmother.  She died about 40 years before her husband.
The photo of the woman is also family "enhanced" with colored pencil. The man is from google clip art.The leaves and grasses at the bottom are from the yard.

I added a few words to the lines of the song and wrote a letter to his long lost love.

Rather a sad saga but I enjoyed creating it.

Google Images
Our inspiration  this week for Art Creations Friday challenge 91, was this lovely young woman carrying her water jug.  I like to imagine she is Italian or Greek.  I found this picture of some Greek ruins on Google image.  I used it in my Print Shop to layer the girl in front ant then used the Print Master  Photo effect, impressionist Painting also taking the opacity down to about 75%.  I did the same with the girl.  After glueing in onto the front of a notebook I used water colors to paint in the shadow and touch some highlights on the girls dress.  My embellishments are some green leaf ribbon, another blogger Deena sent me.  The small silk roses were in my scrap box and the postcard, stamp and lettering were from the PaperStudio Destinations scrapbooking kit.   Oh I do love half off at Hobby Lobby!!!  I'm not sure if I will give it away as a gift or use it myself.  But my 100th blog party is only 15 blogs away...

Have a blessed week! Debbie
